Congressman Mike Simpson refuses to take the GOP oath

Congressman Mike Simpson has refused to take the GOP oath.  The oath would require candidates to endorse the party’s platform or publically state their areas of disagreement.  In response to questions why he wouldn’t take the oath Simpson says “I take one oath, and that’s to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, period.”
